Building Bridges Week

From October 7-11, Geneva, Switzerland will play host to Building Bridges Week, a five-day event focused on rallying the finance and international development communities around a common goal: scaling up collective impact – and resources – for the 2030 Agenda and its 17 SDGs.

The Week will foster new conversations and collaborations aimed at accelerating the finance industry’s contribution to the achievement of the Global Goals.

Building Bridges Week consists of over 30 events taking place all over the city. The Week will culminate in a high-level Summit on 10 October that will see leaders from the worlds of finance, government and development share their views on the actions needed to reach these universal development goals within the next decade.

The SDG Lab, Sustainable Finance Geneva (SFG), the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), Swiss Sustainable Finance and other partners have been preparing for the event for months, representing a unique model of collaboration between financial institutions and the international community in Switzerland.

As a connector and an amplifier, the SDG Lab guided the partnership to ensure a high level of diversity of actors active in finance and in the SDG spectrum.
