Amani Bathily is a Communications and Advocacy Specialist at the SDG Lab. She is currently working on the SDG Lab’s communication strategy and digital positioning.
Prior to joining the Lab she garnered experience in multiple domains. She began her career as a research associate in public health at the Institut Universitaire de Médecine Sociale et Préventive (IUMSP). Building on this foundation, she later ventured into the field of human rights, working with a youth foundation in Geneva.
Passionate about addressing systemic racial inequalities, she embarked on an independent path, establishing her own organization in Switzerland. Through this initiative, she actively tackles racial injustices and collaborates as a consultant with various NGOs and socially conscious businesses. During this period, Amani developed a specialization in employing innovative communication methods to raise awareness about social inequalities and climate change.
In addition to the SDG Lab, she currently serves as a member of the grassroots think tank Foraus, where she spearheads communication efforts in French-speaking Switzerland. Moreover, Amani takes charge of diverse projects closely intertwined with the International Geneva ecosystem, further solidifying her influence in shaping impactful initiatives.
