On 26 June, the SDG Lab is hosting a workshop on “Contextualizing Sustainability through Data Governance at the Local Level”. Local data is important in accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, data is not enough if it is derived from global standardized indicators and methodologies. Local knowledge is crucial in designing policies that are effective, equitable and contextually and culturally appropriate. The workshop explores how the localization of data can enable us to embrace the complexities of sustainable development and accelerate the implementation of the SDGs through locally designed policies and initiatives.
This event is by invitation only. Please see the flyer for more information.
